"This is a great group because the commander is very very helpful in helping kids achieve their goals teach them about the military all the different branches, different aspects of our history that pertains to the military, and all these things that they're learning teach them about life. My son has learned so much about being a leader and wants to be a leader when he graduates from high school and perhaps the military getting his degree in political science and have a future in law in the military and possibly politics. Most of all they gain confidence, self-esteem, and life-skills." -K. Miller, Explorer Parent
"I was in Civil Air Patrol for six years, Girls Scouts for ten, and Explorers for four years. I have never learned more in any program than this one. If your son/daughter is interested in any military career or simply wants some responsibility/leadership skills, this is the program to be in. It prepared me to be an ROTC cadet through hands-on experience and led me to become a great leader in the U.S. Army."-2LT A. Ayala, Explorer Alumna.
"My son has been involved with the Explorers for over a year now and I must say it has been the best decision in our lives! These kids have so much fun and are learning so much from this program. From the first aid training and all the way to basic rifle marksmanship training, this program has taught my son and given him the confidence that I knew he's always had. He was just too shy to show it until this program tapped into it. He now looks at himself as a leader who can walk taller today than he did yesterday. The volunteer work they do has also been incredibly and fulfilling. Chief Ayala is one of the best mentors I can ask for to my son. He truly puts his all into this program. The events are always family friendly so parents can be as involved as their kids! The ratio of meetings and events are perfect. Especially with a family who is constantly busy. It's a perfect fit! This program has opened up my son's eyes. It has allowed him to experience things you can't get from school or even some of the other programs out there. I truly appreciate the time and dedication Chief Ayala and his dedicated leaders have put into this program and to our kids. I am so proud my family is and will always be apart of the Explorer family! HOOAH!!." -E. Mendoza, Explorer Parent
"This program really made a difference in my life. Without this program, I do not think I would be as globally minded as I am and interested in pursuing a career in higher education as a Global Studies professor."-S. Miller, Military Explorer Alumnus
"I am so happy this group is there for my son. It's the only thing he has ever stuck with." -K. McCune, Explorer Parent
