AION (Atom Interferometer Observatory and Network) is a proposed project gathering seven institutions to use ultra-cold strontium atoms to observe mid-range frequency gravitational waves and detect ultra-light dark matter.
My role in the consortium is focused on the large momentum transfer (LMT) for the interrogation. I wrote a programme to simulate the pulses fidelity function of numerous parameters and detailed the components needed and the cost.
The concept is published in JCAP 05, 011 (2020).
