I am a biomedical engineer conducting research in the field of cell and molecular mechanotransduction. I am currently a PhD student at Duke University in Brent Hoffman’s Cell and Molecular Mechanobiology lab. I study how force across load-bearing proteins affects their protein-protein interactions and downstream signaling pathways.
In addition to my research, I am passionate about teaching the next generation of biomedical engineers. I am preparing for a career in teaching at a primary undergraduate institution. I've had the opportunity to assist Duke faculty in both the instruction and creation of undergraduate courses and been able to mentor several undergraduate students in their research endeavors. I would be thrilled to continue this work as a fulltime professor.
