You won't find this Meghalaya on a travel blog.
This one asks more of you - longer walks, quieter roads, simpler rooms. In return, it gives you something most trips don't: the feeling that you actually lived somewhere, not just passed through it.
Roots that have grown into bridges over 500 years. A river so clear it looks like the boats are floating on air. Bamboo trails that have no business being as beautiful as they are.
This isn't Meghalaya for everyone. It's Meghalaya for people who know the difference.
TRIP OVERVIEW
A full day on the river - exploring caves, wading, going where roads don't.
India's cleanest village - not a title. A way of life.
The Wahken Bamboo Trek - narrow ledges, big drops, bigger views.
Wai Sawdong- a three-tier waterfall most people never find.
6 days. No shortcuts. Just Meghalaya, the way it's meant to be seen.
