In Short

MeFit reads your steps, distance, weight, and water-intake data from Health Connect to show your progress inside the app.

This data is not sold and is not shared with advertisers.

You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time — see Section 7: Deleting Your Data.

01. Definitions

The words below are used with a specific meaning throughout this policy.

Account
The unique profile created for You to access MeFit, tied to your Google sign-in.

Application / Service
The MeFit mobile application for Android.

Company ("We", "Us", "Our")
MeFit, operating from Pakistan.

Health Data
Steps, distance, weight, and water-intake records read from or written to Health Connect — see Section 3.

Personal Data
Any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual, such as your name or email address.

Service Provider
A third party that processes data on Our behalf — for example, Google Firebase, which hosts Our authentication and database.

Usage Data
Data collected automatically from Your use of the Service, such as device type and diagnostic logs.

You
The individual using the Service.

02. Data We Collect

Account Data You Provide

When You sign in with Google, We receive your email address and name to create and identify Your account.

Food and Meal Data You Enter

Food entries, custom foods, and saved meals You log are stored on Your device.

Usage Data

We automatically collect diagnostic information such as device model, operating system version, app version, and crash/error logs, used to keep the Service running correctly.

Health Data

Covered separately in the next section because of how it is accessed and used.

03. Health Data

MeFit's core purpose is tracking your fitness, so it connects to Health Connect on Android to read and, for two metrics, write the data below.

We only request access to what the app's features actually use.

What We Do With It

Health data is used only to display your own progress back to you inside the app — dashboards, trends, and daily summaries.
Health data is not uploaded to Our servers, sold, or shared with advertisers or analytics partners.
Health data stays on your device, governed by Health Connect's own permission system. You can review or revoke MeFit's access at any time from your device's Health Connect settings.
If a future version of MeFit adds cloud backup or sync for health data, We will update this policy and ask for your consent before doing so.

04. How We Use Your Data

To provide the Service — running your account, syncing your preferences, and displaying your logged food and health data.
To manage your account — authenticating You via Google Sign-In and keeping your profile up to date.
To contact You — for account-related notices, such as security or service updates, where necessary.
To improve the Service — using aggregated, non-identifying usage data to fix bugs and prioritize features.

05. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell Your Personal Data or Health Data.

We share data only in these limited cases:

Service Providers — Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore database) processes account data on Our behalf, under Google's own data-processing terms.
Legal Requirements — if required to comply with a law, court order, or valid request from a public authority.
Business Transfers — if MeFit is involved in a merger or acquisition, account data may transfer as part of that transaction; We will notify You first.
With Your Consent — for any other purpose, only after You explicitly agree.

06. Retention

We keep Your account data for as long as Your account is active.

Diagnostic/usage data is generally retained for a shorter period, except where needed to investigate a security issue or as required by law.

Health data is not stored on Our servers at all — it lives on Your device under Health Connect's own retention rules.

07. Deleting Your Data

You can request deletion of Your MeFit account and the data associated with it at any time, for any reason.

How to Request Deletion

Email zainlinux1989@gmail.com from the address associated with Your account, with the subject line:

"Delete my MeFit data."

We will confirm your identity and process the request within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted

Your account record and profile (name, email) stored in Our database.
Food entries, custom foods, and saved meals associated with Your account.
Any diagnostic data tied to Your account identifier.

What's Outside Our Control

Health data lives on Your device, not on Our servers.

To remove it, revoke MeFit's permissions and delete its records directly in:

Android:
Settings → Health Connect → App permissions

Uninstalling MeFit removes all locally stored food and meal data from Your device immediately.

08. Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect Your data, including Google Firebase's built-in authentication and access controls.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and We cannot guarantee absolute security.

09. Children's Privacy

MeFit does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

If You believe a child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us and We will remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above, and where the change is significant We will provide additional notice inside the app.
