- Recording
The main page with the red button is the recording view.
Pressing the red button will start a recording and you can speak into the microphone.
A red audio wave will show that a recording has started.
In the bottom left corner you'll be able to pause and restart the recording.
Pressing the red button again will stop a recording.
- Transcriptions
To get transcriptions you'll need to go to the folders tab.
Press on the "All Recordings" folder.
Next to your recording you'll see two buttons. A "speech bubble" and "three dots in a circle".
Pressing the "speech bubble" will open up your transcription.
The first time you open the transcription the app will process and generate a transcription for you.
- Folders
In the folders tab you'll be able to create folders pressing the folder icon in the bottom right corner.
You can delete folders by pressing the edit button found in the top right corner or by swiping left on a folder.
You can move your recordings to another folder by pressing the "three dots in a circle" and then pressing "Move to Folder".
You can delete recordings within folders. You can do this by swiping left on a recording.
Each recording can be added to your favourites folder. To add recordings to your favourites go into a folder and either swipe right on a recording or press the "three dots in a circle" icon and press "Favourite"
- Transcription page
After you press the "speech bubble" you'll land on the transcription page.
The top portion of the screen shows the media player.
You'll be able to play, pause, skip 15 seconds and to move to certain time points of the recording.
Below that you'll see two buttons a "share" and "wand".
The "share" button will open up a share sheet with the transcription. You'll be able to export the transcription into any text editor of your choosing.
The "wand" button will enable you to re-transcribe a recording.
Pressing on a timestamp will automatically pull the recording to that timestamp.
- Exporting text
On the transcription page you'll be able to export the transcription.
After pressing the "three dots in a circle" icon button next to your recording you'll also be able to press "Share Transcription" to export the transcription.
In the folder tab, to the top left corner there is the "settings" button.
In the settings page you'll be able to configure how you want the transcription to be exported.
You'll be able to disable the transcript timestamps.
You'll be able to disable the transcript newlines as well.
Can I get higher quality transcriptions?
Yes you can, if your phone is a recent model go to settings then enable overdrive and quit and reopen the app.
