When the organizing committee discussed our vision for this pre-conference, we turned to relationality: our first call reached out to our existing relationships and networks. Many of you have come to this registration page having received personal invitations to sit and deliberate with us; others have received extended invitations from someone invited by the organizing committee. We chose not to put out an open call for participation or share this pre-conference on social media because a limited size (20-40 participants) allows for small group working sessions.
Our vision and intentions for the pre-conference are unique and informed by what we see as priorities: the building of relationships and professional learning communities that can gather strength and dynamize practice in the field. Our planning reflects this intention, as we are hoping to prioritize participant dialogue and exchange (over the typical modes of presentation followed by a very short Q&A from large audiences).
Registrants are invited to bring insights from your context of practice and research into what will be a day of small group deliberations, to build and extend relationships, to cultivate and harvest, and to plan next steps for an emergent praxis-based research network.
To ensure accessibility, this will be listed as a community event, and will not be subject to any fees within Congress 2022.
You have likely received a personal invitation for this pre-conference. If you intend to participate, please complete the registration form below (even if you have already replied to your email invitation with a "yes"). This is to ensure your accurate contact information is registered for communications. We also ask that registrants plan to participate in the full day of workshops as much as your commitments can allow.
