About Eldonie

Eldonie Mason immigrated to the United States from Antigua in 1998. She later graduated magna cum laude from New Jersey City University in 2002 and cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 2005. In 2007, Eldonie founded Mason Firm LLC, an entertainment, business and fashion law firm based in Newark, NJ and founded Predestined Media LLC in 2020 to create and distribute diverse content. Eldonie is a former arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association and FINRA. She is also a professor and taught Music Publishing, Licensing and Copyright at York College of Pennsylvania. She is licensed to practice law in NY, NJ and FL.

Three years ago, Eldonie's five-year-old niece told her that she could not be a princess because all the princesses were white with long hair. Eldonie's heart broke. Who told her niece such a thing? This conversation led her to write her niece a story about a Black princess with short hair who goes on adventures. That story is now the children's book, The Adventures of Princess Anyah of Antibarba: The Fishing Expedition, which is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Representation matters and if little girls like Eldonie's niece can see themselves as princesses, they will not feel less than. Every little girl deserves to feel like a princess! Eldonie enjoys watching animated films, hiking, cooking and taking her niece on fun adventures. She currently lives in New Jersey.
