What We Collect
To run Meee Social, we collect:
• Account info: name, username, email, hashed password, date of birth, profile picture.
• Content you create: posts, videos, listings, bids, messages, comments, reports.
• Verification status (from Persona or other KYC providers): approved / pending / declined, DOB-verified flag, provider reference ID. We do NOT permanently store raw ID images.
• Device & technical: device type, OS, app version, IP address, session tokens.
• Location (only when you choose): coarse city-level for Local Discovery. Exact addresses are never publicly displayed.
How We Use It
We use your data to:
• Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Run moderation, AI Watchdog, and trust scoring.
• Communicate moderation outcomes, account notices, and product updates.
• Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.
How We Share It
We share only what is necessary with: KYC providers (Persona, Veriff, Onfido, Sumsub) for identity verification, cloud infrastructure providers, Google AdMob for advertising delivery, and law enforcement when required by law.
We do NOT sell your personal data.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Meee Social uses Google AdMob to display ads. To deliver, measure, and protect those ads from fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects:
• Approximate location, inferred from IP address.
• Device identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID and App Set ID (or, on iOS, the IDFA only if you grant App Tracking permission).
• Ad interactions (impressions, clicks, video views) and diagnostic events (app launch, hang rate, energy usage).
Advertising — Your Choices
Data collected by AdMob is encrypted in transit (TLS) and is used for advertising delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and analytics — never to identify you personally on third-party sites.
On iOS you can deny App Tracking Transparency on first launch (or change it later in Settings → Meee Social → Tracking), which will prevent IDFA-based personalization.
On Android you can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time via Settings → Privacy → Ads.

We currently ship Google's official TEST ads only during Closed Testing; no real ad revenue is being generated yet.
Encryption and Security
Passwords are stored as bcrypt/Argon2 hashes. Session tokens are random and revokable. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS.
Your Rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time. See our Data Retention & Deletion Policy for steps.
Children
Children under 16 are not permitted to use Meee Social.
