Workshop: Ecological Networks

Description:

Ecological systems are complex, requiring tools that attempt to try to incorporate some this complexity. In this workshop we will provide an overview of key network ecology concepts and approaches. Participants will get acquainted with various statistical / computational / visual components of networks such as the leading analytical tools developed in the programing language R. Connor's hope is that attendees leave knowing some common approaches one might use to take a network approach for just about any ecological / evolutionary question! 

Workshop: Interdisciplinary Collaboration in Stream and Wetland Restoration

Description:

Effective stream and wetland restoration is best achieved through the formation of multidisciplinary teams with complementary skills. Team members work closely together to locate sites for restoration, assess existing resources, develop restoration plans, and permit, design and monitor the restoration. This workshop will cover the opportunities available for multidisciplinary work in restoration with a focus on how ecologists, environmental scientists and engineers can work together effectively. Anyone with an interest in the stream and wetland restoration profession is welcome to attend.

This session will also cover ways to elevate your research by creating author profiles and publishing open access.
