Obtain an independent evaluation by an approved provider.
Be informed of all evaluations which will be administered to your child.
Receive copies of all assessments two school days before the IEP (Individualized Education Plan) team meeting
Attend and participate in all IEP meetings as an equal member of the team.
Bring a friend, doctor, professional, advocate or an attorney to all meetings.
Have evaluation summaries clearly explained.
Meet whenever necessary with any school staff working with your child and reconvene the IEP team at any time.
Reject part or all of the IEP if you believe it is inappropriate.
Review and inspect your child’s record.
