A huge and heartfelt thank you to all the Veterans in attendance, this was our biggest turnout yet!
On Friday, November 7th, MED opened its doors to welcome Veteran family members and those from the community to join us for our Veterans Day assembly.
We appreciate everyone who sent in pictures for the slideshow, it’s such a special part of the assembly. This year also included the folding of the flag as tribute and acknowledgment of those traditionally honored on Memorial Day. Additionally, Ms. Brownell led the 4th grade chorus in singing “America the Beautiful” and the 5th grade chorus in singing “Have You Seen a Yankee Doodle.”
Darci Hover, assisted by Daisy Trowbridge, brought experience, heart and enthusiasm to the assembly. Brittany Richards graciously emceed the event and the PTO provided snacks and refreshments for the Veterans in attendance.
Thank you to Chatham Flowers & Gifts for the beautiful arrangement, generously donated, and your continued support for this event. And to Debbie, Crystal, Peyton and Ella Coolidge for setting up the incredible vestibule display.
A special thank you to Mrs. Reno who has allowed our event to evolve and include having family and community service members attend our special day.
The PTO is proud to dedicate our vestibule display to our Veterans. We recognize and thank all the brave individuals—including those in our own school families and staff—who have served our nation. We encourage everyone to pause and reflect on the sacrifices made for our freedom. Thank you, Veterans!
Thank You !
