Journey to the Streets
About: JTTS is extending the hand of Jesus and offering hope to people who are facing homelessness and difficult situations in the Waco area. Because everyone deserves to experience love and kindness, JTTS serves people in Waco by offering compassion to the outcasts, delivering food to the hungry, ministering to the broken, sharing with the lonely, and advocating for services and policies that uplift the needy.
Details: Meet at Journey Christian Community Church to prepare bagged lunches for the homeless on the 3rd Friday of every month at 4pm. Meet at Mission Waco Meyer Center on the 3rd Saturday of every month at 9am.

Transformation Waco
About: MEDLIFE’s Transformation Waco program is a weekly after-school volunteering opportunity where we lead fun, hands-on science experiments and simple clinical skills lessons for students in low-income communities. We will work in small groups to do interactive activities that make science and medicine exciting and approachable!
Details: Mondays at 5pm or Tuesdays at 5pm in the Estella Maxey Neighborhood

About: Serve as a GED tutor for local Spanish Speakers in the fields of Math, Science, and Social Studies. Connect with community members and hear their stories and perspectives.

Talitha Koum
About: Talitha Koum offers hope to South Waco families in poverty through an intensive care program. The institute provides a Therapeutic Nursery for children ages 6 and under and provides comprehensive support for each child’s family until the child’s high school graduation. Volunteers can give their time in a variety of ways, including playing with the children, administrative assistance, working with the swimming pool program, grounds upkeep and tutoring.
Details: Dates and times vary by schedule. Requires at least a two hour time commitment per week.

Night to Shine
About: Night to Shine is a complimentary event for people with special needs hosted by local churches around the world. The event is open to anyone living with disabilities, ages 14 and older. Volunteers are needed for a wide variety of things including serving as a guest's buddy, being a member of the red carpet paparazzi, keeping the enthusiasm up on the dance floor, or serving food.

ABOUT: Just like the senior highschool game, you and your friends can pay $5 each to play Assassins! During the March 30th meeting, Saamia will send you an email with a join code for the free app SLAP and you will meet your targets. INSTEAD OF WATER GUNS, we will be using STICKERS that will be handed out right after the 3/16 meeting. The assassin who gets the most kills wins a prize!! PLEASE READ THE RULES BEFORE PLAYING, NO ACTUAL KILLING LOL!!*
