PRIVACY POLICY — MEDITATION BELL

This Privacy Policy explains how the Meditation Bell mobile application
("the app", "we", "us") handles information. Meditation Bell is designed to
be private by default: it works entirely on your device and does not require
an account.
1. THE SHORT VERSION
We do NOT collect, store, or share your personal information. We have no
servers, no user accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking.
Your meditation settings and session history stay on your phone.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
None that leaves your device. We do not collect names, email addresses,
contacts, location, or any personally identifiable information. The app has
no login and no cloud account.
3. INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
To make the app work, the following is saved locally on your device only
(using the device's standard app storage) and is never transmitted to us or
anyone else:
- Your preferences — chosen bell sounds, session duration, interval
settings, theme, and similar options.
- Your session log — a local history of meditation sessions you complete
(planned and actual length, date and time).
This data is removed when you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
4. PERMISSIONS
The app requests a small number of Android permissions strictly to play
sound reliably:
- Play audio in the background / foreground service — so the meditation
bell rings at the right time even when your screen is off or the app is
in the background.
- Modify audio settings / audio focus — to manage volume and pause other
media while a bell plays.
The app does NOT record audio and does not use your microphone to capture,
store, or transmit any sound.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Some optional guided meditations are played as embedded YouTube videos. If
you choose to watch a guided meditation, the video is streamed by YouTube (a
Google service), and Google may process data such as your IP address and
device information in accordance with its own policies. We do not control and
are not responsible for Google's data practices. See the Google Privacy
Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. If you never open a guided
meditation, no such connection is made.
The app contains no advertising SDKs and no analytics SDKs.
6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Meditation Bell does not collect personal information from anyone, including
children. It is suitable for a general audience.
7. YOUR CHOICES AND DATA DELETION
Because all app data lives only on your device, you are always in full
control. To delete everything the app has stored, clear the app's storage in
your device settings or uninstall the app.
8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted with a
revised "Last updated" date.
