A download of guided meditations aimed to complement the learnings found in Prof Mark William's and Dr Danny Penman's guide to freeing yourself from the stresses of everyday life. Containing all the meditations that are mentioned in the book this is an invaluable resource to cement their teachings on how to find Mindfulness, and how to keep it.

If I had to surmise from the voice and tone I encounter as a user of Headspace (an excellent daily meditation app) what it is they were trying to convey with it (and maybe what are the brands values), I would say the voice is:

I love noticing how almost all of these characteristics can be found in the language used on each screen of the app, no matter how prosaic the screen, like offering to enable push notifications (offering as opposed to CTA, what a difference!)

Mindfulness Meditations Audio by Dr. Roberto P. Benzo, MD If you experience audio problems, please contact the Help Desk at 4-5500. Also, please note the following audio tracks can be downloaded to MP3 player of your choice. Right click on link and save "target as" to location.

The mindfulness meditation audio by dr. Robert benzo cannot be opened when i save it to my files because it is in "ashx" format. It tells me "unable to find application to perform this action". I would like to listen to these offline while traveling because i will not always have access to the internet. Currently i can only play them through s browser.

Would appreciate any help on this issue.

Meditation is a practice that can help us learn to be present in the moment and navigate life's challenges. Produced by Patty Arcari, PhD, RN, program manager of mindfulness and meditation at Dana-Farber's Leonard P. Zakim Center for Integrative Therapies, these audio meditation guides may be able to help you discover your inner peace.

We publish these audio files free of charge so that everyone can benefit from them. Do please consider donating to Windhorse Publications so that we can keep these resources free for everybody as well as continue to publish life changing books.

In this freely offered series of seven audio meditations, Bhikkhu Anlayo provides sequential guided instructions for satipahna meditation, based on academic research and practice instructions as presented in his text - Satipahna Meditation: A Practice Guide (Windhorse Publications, 2018).

Your feedback about Guided meditation programs is appreciated. At the moment, I don't have updates about any changes on these programs however, we have our Feature Suggestion board, where you can post and support ideas. These suggestions will be reviewed by our team and the status will change based in Fitbit's plans.

Josephine I am answering your original inquiry since no one else really has. I have a Fitbit Versa Lite, which is the little sister to you. I use the meditation app at night and I am able to close the cover to my phone so no light bothers me. But lessening the light on your phone to nearly darks helps too. As far as multitasking, no you cannot, because if it is a meditating app you are meant to be meditating ie. doing nothing else but listening to the guided meditation. No meditation app will allow multitasking. . Just sayin, with all respect . namaste!

I agree with everyone regarding running Mindfulness at night but have Fitbit thought about the walking Mindfulness sessions too? I cannot leave my phone tucked away with earphones on as thre screen cancels the session or worse. I can't think why they would not want to change this, my music apps work fine in screen lock and so does the "Couch to 5k" app. How many votes are needed to persuade this modification please.

Mindfulness meditation helps us train the wandering, agitated mind. Recent research on mindfulness training published in Frontiers in Human Neuroscience found that students engaged in mindfulness training showed greater sustained attention task performance and lower self-reported mind wandering during task completion than control students who received no training. This training helps with task performance like homework, and can also help us intentionally relax and enjoy life, which can be difficult if the mind is continually wandering into planning, worrying, and analyzing.

Below are three guided mindfulness meditation practices that can be done as a study break, to help settle the mind before bed, on the bus on the way home, anywhere you can find the time to relax and recharge.

To practice meditation at home, you simply need to find a comfortable seat in a space with minimal distractions. A seat could mean a chair, on the floor with a folded up blanket or pillow, or simply on a yoga mat.

On our Instagram we have highlighted a number of meditation apps we highly recommend.

The human experience includes pain, discomfort, and negative emotions and thoughts. How do we deal with these uninvited guests? This meditation invites us to reframe these guests as visitors we welcome. (No music version here.)

These gentle postures are to be moved through with attention to body sensation and your personal limitations. The audio guidance provided by Lois Howland most closely follows the sequence of original postures found in Full Catastrophe Living by Jon Kabat-Zinn.

Thank you for this great information. Do you have any advice if you want to add soothing background music? Where to go to get this type of music (licensable)? How to play the background music in the meditation? Thanks!

Great info, so helpful thank you so much. I just wanted to ask if there were any pre-recorded meditations that you can buy. It can prove quite costly to buy or use a voice over. Any advice be great. Thank you. Brian

Thank you so much for this!! If you want to add in music do you recommend making the audio into an MP3 and THEN go to the link you provided other for music and then add the music ? Or do you choose your music and then mAke your audio? Thanks!

Thanks for the updated information! Do you think it is a good idea to add audio watermarks to your recordings? If so, what is the best way to do so as to not detract from the recording? Preferably using something free like Audacity or GarageBand. Thanks!

A metastatic cancer diagnosis is associated with high levels of distress in patients and caregivers. Mindfulness interventions can reduce distress and improve quality of life in cancer patients. However, standard mindfulness training relies on in-person instruction, which is often not practical for either patients receiving chemotherapy or their caregivers. In the Being Present single arm pilot study, we designed and tested an 8-week audio-based mindfulness meditation program for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer receiving chemotherapy with or without a participating caregiver. The study accrued 33 of 74 (45%) eligible patients consenting together with 20 family caregivers (53 participants total) within nine months. Forty-one participants were evaluable (77%); 10 of 12 cases of attrition were attributable to hospitalization or death. Median participant age was 51 (range 21-78 years); 38% were men. Baseline levels of distress were similar in patients and caregivers. The top reasons for participation cited in pre-intervention interviews were to increase relaxation/calm, improve mood/emotions, and reduce stress/anxiety. In measures of adherence, 59% of responses to weekly texts asking: "Have you practiced today?" were "Yes" and 59% of interviewees reported practicing >50% of the time. Compared to baseline, post-intervention surveys demonstrated significantly reduced distress (p = 0.01) and anxiety (p = 0.03); as well as increased non-reactivity (p 152ee80cbc
