DEPARTING FROM WAMURAN (BRISBANE)

Drive: Wamuran is located a 60-minute drive North of Brisbane. Further information for these arrangements will be put out in due course. If you don’t have your own car, please plan for using public transport just in case.

Public Transport: The nearest train station to Wamuran is Caboolture, a 20 minute drive from Wamuran. Caboolture to the Brisbane airport may take up to 2 hours and requires 1 or 2 train-line changes, costing a total of AUD $30. A local yogi will definitely arrange pick-up/drop-off for you between Caboolture and the Wamuran.

IMPORTANT NOTES


  1. NORTHERN ROUTE:
      • Tour ends at Wamuran. Recommended departure airport is Brisbane.
  2. EASTERN ROUTE:
      • Generally, Canberra airport is much more expensive. Public buses from Sydney to Canberra are around AUD $40, and take 3 hours. This could be an option if you arrive when the tour is already in Canberra (see itinerary).
      • Tour ends at Wamuran. Transport will be provided free of cost for touring participants back to Sydney. Recommended airports are Sydney or Brisbane.
  3. SOUTHERN ROUTE:
      • The flight from Melbourne to Brisbane (Wamuran), and from Melbourne to Hobart (Tasmania) during the tour are included in the tour rate.
      • Tour Ends at Wamuran. Recommended airport for departure is Brisbane. If you wish to not come to Wamuran, then you may leave the tour at Melbourne and depart Australia from Melbourne.
      • If you are attending Guru Puja at Wamuran but have booked your return flight from Melbourne, the cost of travel back to Melbourne from Brisbane will not be covered in tour cost.
  4. CROSS-COUNTRY ROUTE:
      • 1. The tour ends in Brisbane. Recommended departure airport is Brisbane.

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE ON DOMESTIC FLIGHTS DURING THE TOUR

The Cross Country and Southern Routes will include domestic air travel. Please note that there is a 23kg check-in baggage and 7kg carry-on allowance per person.

Australia is VERY strict on airport customs, due to a unique biodiversity. To protect it, many products are not allowed into Australia.
