Mediba Quartet is an international acoustic ensemble bringing together vocalist Masa Vujadinovic, accordionist Jakob Kobal, cellist Queralt Giralt Soler, and drummer and percussionist Andrea Dionisi. Their artistic paths crossed at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, where performing together in different groups and musical settings led them to discover a strong musical affinity and a shared artistic vision.

Mediba was selected as a finalist in the Suoni delle Dolomiti contest and recently toured Europe, bringing their distinctive sound to audiences across the continent. The quartet has also just recorded its debut album, which will be released soon.

Their repertoire combines rearrangements of Balkan and Mediterranean compositions with original pieces, weaving together elements of classical music, jazz improvisation, and diverse musical traditions. The quartet’s distinctive acoustic instrumentation creates a wide range of sonic experiences, that allow them to innovate within tradition while remaining accessible, emotionally compelling, and engaging for audiences. Their aim is to serve the music and present it in its most beautifully raw form, paying homage to the cultural heritage and natural landscapes that shaped them into the group they are today.
