By using the MediaFlow application (the "App"), you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Data We Do Not Collect
MediaFlow is designed to work entirely on your device. We believe that your photos, videos, and personal data are yours alone. Therefore, we do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal data or files.
Specifically, we do not collect:
Your Photos and Videos: All media files (images and videos) accessed by the App remain solely on your device. The App only reads and processes this media to provide its features (gallery, cleaning, map, etc.) locally. Your media is never uploaded to our servers or any third-party service.
Location Data: The App reads location data (geotags) embedded within your photo files (EXIF data) to power the "Photo Map" feature. This location information is only used within the app to display your photos on the map and is never collected, stored, or transmitted off your device.
Personal Information: We do not collect any personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
Usage Analytics: We do not use any third-party analytics tools to track your interaction with the App.
2. Permissions Required by the App
MediaFlow requests certain permissions to provide its core functionality. These permissions are used only for the purposes described below:
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES and READ_MEDIA_VIDEO (on Android 13+) / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (on older Android versions): This permission is essential for the App to function. It allows the App to access, display, and manage the photos and videos stored on your device's storage to provide gallery features.
ACCESS_MEDIA_LOCATION: This permission allows the App to read the location data stored within your photo files. This is used exclusively for the "Photo Map" feature to show you where your photos were taken. This data is not collected or shared.
USE_BIOMETRIC / USE_FINGERPRINT: This permission is used for the "Lock Folder" feature, allowing you to secure your private files using your device's biometric authentication (fingerprint, face unlock) or device credentials (PIN, pattern, password). The authentication process is handled securely by the Android operating system, and the App never receives your actual biometric data or password.
3. How Your Data is Handled
All data processing, including scanning for duplicates, finding similar photos, generating AI labels, and displaying media on a map, happens locally on your device. Your data never leaves your phone.
4. Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate with any third-party services that collect personal data.
5. Data Security
We take the security of your on-device data seriously. The "Lock Folder" feature uses standard Android encryption technologies to protect the files you choose to hide. However, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.
6. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
