Neglection (temporary title)

"Neglection" is an audiovisual live performance that explores the life of obsolete, forgotten, and neglected technologies. As more and more people abandon these for their newer and modern versions, do these technologies still have a place in our lives? This performance gives a second life to these things and imagines what they might feel as they grow older and older, eventually passing away.

Ben Hoang is a Master’s student at CCRMA blending software and creative experimentation—designing interactive installations, composing audiovisual performances, and developing new ways to interact with technology. His current interests include audio-centric video games, artful creativity, and interactive and interpersonal experiences. His current micro-interests include DMX bulbs, lamps, and CRTs.
