MedClerx ("we", "our", or "us") is a medication reminder and record management application. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use the MedClerx mobile application.

1. Data Storage & Privacy

MedClerx is an offline-first personal organization utility. All personal data, including pill reminders and document photos (prescriptions/reports), is stored locally on your device. We do not have a cloud server. We do not transmit, sell, or access your personal files. Your data never leaves your device unless you manually create a backup file.

2. Permissions Used by the App

MedClerx requests the following Android permissions strictly for core functionality:

• Camera: Used only when you choose to photograph a document for your personal archive.

• Storage : Used to save your personal document photos locally on your phone.

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to trigger the reminders you have set.

• Vibrate: Used to provide vibration alerts for reminders.

• Wake Lock: Ensures alarms and reminders function reliably even when the device is idle.

• Exact Alarm (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM): Required to trigger reminders that you have set at precise times.

• Full Screen Intent: Used to display reminder screens when an alarm is triggered.

• System Alert Window: Used to display overlay reminder notifications.

• Receive Boot Completed: Used to reschedule your local reminders if you restart your phone.

These permissions are used solely to provide the intended functionality of the app.

3. Analytics and Crash Reporting

MedClerx uses Firebase Crashlytics to monitor app stability. This service collects non-identifying technical data (such as device model and crash logs). No personal health information, names, or document contents are ever collected or transmitted. This data is used solely for debugging to improve the app experience.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal health data with third parties.

5. Data Security

Your data remains stored locally on your device. We recommend securing your device with appropriate system-level protections such as PIN, password, or biometric authentication.

6. Children's Privacy

MedClerx is not directed toward children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

MedClerx is a personal information organizer and is NOT a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The "Prescription" and "Lab Report" features are for photo storage and organizational purposes only. Users should always consult a healthcare professional regarding medical decisions.
