1. Introduction Welcome to MedAlert. Your privacy is our priority. This Privacy Policy explains how MedAlert handles your information. Unlike many health apps, MedAlert is designed to be "Privacy-First," meaning we strive to keep your data under your own control.

2. Local Data Storage (Offline-First) MedAlert operates primarily as an offline application. All sensitive health data you enter, including:

• Medication names and schedules

• Symptom logs and health notes

• Doctor contact information and appointments

• Uploaded medical documents and prescriptions

• Heart rate data (Heartify)

All this data is stored locally on your physical device. We do not own, manage, or have access to any of the information you store within the app. No personal health data is transmitted to or stored on our servers.

3. Permissions and Use To provide its features, MedAlert may request the following permissions:

• Notifications: To send you reminders for medications and upcoming appointments.

• Camera & Gallery: To allow you to take photos of prescriptions or add a profile picture (stored only on your device).

• Biometrics (Face ID / Fingerprint): To secure your app access. This authentication is handled by your device's operating system; we never see or store your biometric data.

4. AI Health Assistant MedAlert includes an AI conversational agent. When you ask questions to the assistant, the text of your question is sent to a secure third-party AI provider (such as Google or OpenAI) to generate a response.

• This data is processed anonymously.

• None of your locally stored medical records are sent to the AI unless you explicitly type them into the chat.

5. Data Deletion Since all data is stored on your device, you can delete all your information at any time simply by:

1. Clearing the application data in your phone settings.

2. Uninstalling the application.

3. Using the "Delete" or "Clear Data" functions within the app settings.

6. Third-Party Services MedAlert does not include third-party advertising or trackers (SDKs) that follow your behavior for marketing purposes.

7. Changes to This Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
