Tools for Education

I will discuss three subsections of the tools for education:

Tools for Instruction
Tools for Management
Tools for Assessment

Several of these tools can be interchangeable throughout the different subsections. The following is simply how I decided to categorize each of them.

Tools for Instruction

Google Docs

Google docs is a great tool to be used for instruction. It can be used to share/write papers with students, create resumes, and complete group projects.

Screen Cast-O-Matic

Screen cast-o-matic is a great tool for teachers to utilize when students are learning from home. It allows the user to create a video of themselves and their computer screen.

Near Pod

Near Pod is an interactive presentation tool that teachers can use to keep students engaged in the lesson.

Google Slides

Google Slides is a fun way to create presentations for students. It is easily accessible and shareable for students and teachers.

iMovie

iMovie is another recording tool that would allow teachers to create video presentations with images and voice overs.

Tools for Management

Google forms

Google Forms is a great way for teachers to create exit tickets, questionnaires, quizzes, surveys, informational forms, and more.

Google Sheets

Google sheets can be used to easily organize data including demographic, grades or other information. It gathers all the information into one place and can be arranged in an easy-to-read way.

Tools for Assessment

Google Forms

In addition to being a tool for classroom management, google forms is also a good way to conduct assessments.

Near Pod

Near Pod is also a dual purpose tool. It can be great for creating interactive presentations for a class, but can also be used for quizzes, tests, or other assessments that are completed right in front of the teacher.
