Arajit Das built the Med Reminder app as an Ad-Supported app. This SERVICE is provided by Arajit Das at no cost and is intended for use as is. This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

1. Information Collection and Use (Local Storage)

We highly respect your privacy. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal medical data to any external servers.

All the data you enter into Med Reminder is stored locally on your device. This includes:

Medicine names and reminder schedules

Medicine photos captured via the app

Reminder history

Language preferences (English, Hindi, Bengali)

Your 4-digit security PIN (which is securely encrypted and stored locally)

Because this data is never uploaded to the cloud, we have no access to it, and it remains entirely in your control.

2. Third-Party Services and Ads

While our app does not collect personal data, we use third-party services that may collect information used to identify your device to serve ads.

The app uses Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. When your device is connected to the internet, AdMob may collect certain information automatically, including:

Device information (such as device model and OS version)

Advertising ID

IP address

Ad interaction data

3. App Permissions

To function correctly, Med Reminder requires the following device permissions. We strictly use these permissions only for their intended features within the app:

Camera: Used solely to take photos of your medicines. Images are saved locally on your device and never uploaded to our servers.

Notifications & Alarms: Required to send you timely medicine reminders.

Storage Access: Used to save your medicine photos and access custom ringtones for alarms.

Internet/Network Access: Required exclusively to fetch and display ads via Google AdMob.

4. Data Security and Deletion

We value your trust in providing us with your data. All your app data is confined to your device's local storage.

Data Deletion: If you wish to delete all your data, you can simply uninstall the Med Reminder app from your device or clear the app's data from your device's Settings. Doing so will permanently delete your reminder schedules, history, PIN, and medicine photos.

5. Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do the necessary actions.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
