The evolution of machines in daily life has progressed from the Industrial Revolution's mechanization to the digital era's interconnectedness. Key milestones include electrification, the rise of automobiles, computing, and the internet. Advances in AI, robotics, IoT, and sustainable technology are shaping current trends, making machines more capable, connected, and environmentally friendly.

Hence, this edition of the magazine primarily focuses on the various automation and advancements done in the technology of various means of mechanics and the designs that will help us in making it more efficient. 

Along with this, you will acquire knowledge about the various technical teams and also give you insights about the Mechanical Engineering Department of TCET.

ABOUT MECHON MAGAZINE

'Mechon' is the Technical Magazine of the department of mechanical engineering of TCET. The prime objective of this magazine is to provide aspiring engineers with a wide platform to showcase their technical knowledge and share their innovative ideas. This magazine not only gives opportunities for students but also for faculties and alumni to share their knowledge. Our Magazine includes various sections that can help students widen their knowledge by reading various articles, industry/alumni interviews, higher education guides, etc. Achievements of students in academics, extracurricular activities, and student teams are also mentioned here which will be a motivational factor for other students and encourage them to give their best. Mechon Magazine is one of the best platforms for students of our Mechanical engineering department to present their innovative ideas and test their writing skills.

ABOUT MECHANICAL DEPARTMENT

Welcome to Mechanical Engineering at TCET. The Department of Mechanical Engineering started from the academic year 2012-2013. Our Department provides the latest technology-based facilities for conducting experiments and carrying out research Each of our faculty members is ready and willing to work in their research specialty with capable students on individual projects. Our faculty has five major domains of research: Manufacturing, Design, Thermal, Energy, and Mechatronics. All these areas strongly support the growing automotive and manufacturing economy in the state and the region. Our goal for undergraduate students is to give them a high-quality engineering education that includes hands-on experience. The Mechanical Engineering Department invites deserving, dedicated & enthusiastic students to join us and cultivate their bright future to enjoy the fruits later.

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES

PSO1:  Identify, Formulate and Analyze complex Engineering problems in Thermal Engineering, Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering domains.


PSO2:  An ability to find out, articulate the local industrial problems and solve problems with the use of Mechanical Engineering tools for realistic outcomes.


PSO3:  An ability of collaborative learning to find out cost-effective, optimal solution sustainable growth.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES

PEO1 : To provide students with a holistic multidisciplinary education and foster fruitful engagement, creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment that enables them to develop a strong foundation in mathematical, scientific, and mechanical engineering fundamentals required to solve engineering problems.
