Workshop on Welfare Economics

Welcome to the Workshop on Mechanism Design and Welfare Economics 2024 that will be held in the Department of Economic Theory and Economic History of the University of Málaga.
Mechanism design theory and welfare economics deal with the design and analysis of institutions, highlighting their influence on individual behavior and their ultimate consequences on collective welfare. It combines diverse techniques, adopts a normative or positive point of view according to authors and themes, and has a strong interdisciplinary vocation, which brings it closer to political science, philosophy, and mathematical logic.
The Workshop on Mechanism Design and Welfare Economics will be held at the University of Málaga from 4-5 October 2024.
