Checking Out

Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Graders will check out every time they come to library specials. *On a 5-day week, that means students that have Library on Monday will get to check out again on Friday.

3rd, 4th and 5th Graders will check out ever other time they come to Library. This will give them enough time to read their longer books.

Books not returned on the student's library checkout day are considered "overdue." Students will not be able to check out if they have an overdue book.

Communication

The Meadow Lane specialists use Seesaw as a way to share student work, class pictures, and information regarding our programming. Please make sure you have the app installed on your device (and notification alerts turned on).

Special Programming

Throughout the school year, the library has special programs and events for students, parents, and families. Information about these events will be shared with students and families via Seesaw and Meadow Lane's monthly newsletter.

Meadow Lane Library is the best place to work! I am in my 10th year of being the librarian. Before that I spent 15 years teaching in grade level classrooms--1st and 3rd grades.

I love my family, traveling, watching Netflix, laughing, and of course, reading!

I'm excited to help students find great reads and perfect resources this year.

PS. I have a twin sister that is also a librarian here in Olathe. So, if you see "me" out around town and I act like I don't know you, it's probably my twin. You can still say, "Hi!" and she'll text me to let me know.
