Welcome Back To
Meadowbrook Manor Riding Farm
Welcome to a horse riding paradise in the Pocono Mountains. Four-decade-old Max and Florence Fuegle blended humanity, horsemanship, and etiquette into the Meadowbrook Manor Riding Farm: a retreat for NYC couples, a luxury family resort and a premier teens horse academy. Read on to enjoy the horses, farm-to-table food, swimming, hiking, games and simple relaxation on this quiet, forty acre farm set in isolation with forests, mountains and streams.
Created by former guests, this site is a Historical Marker to the Meadowbrook Manor Riding Farm people, place and time so that future generations can step back to between 1940 and 1975 when a lucky few called Meadowbrook Manor Riding Farm home for months, weeks or just days.
This site is composed of historical materials from 1899 to 1975: personal pictures, old literature, deeds, birth certificates, and more. The Fuegle's words are intact though faded, barely legible scans have been retyped and pictures colorized with the help of AI. Many pictures are missing or only existed multiple shots from different angles. AI was heavily used to reconstructed the past from our memories. Max and Florence left in 1975 and this site ends there too.
PLEASE CONTRIBUTE IF YOU WERE THERE TOO. Many important names, dates and events are forgotten and we strive to improve. The yearbook section includes picture and text for riders and camp counselors; please help fill-in the gaps.
