Working Project: Academic Alliance for Anticipatory Action.

Software: Delft3D FM Suite, HEC-RAS.

Analysis: Coupling Regular and Irregular Flexible Mesh, Data sorting, Flood Inundation Map, Depth-Discharge Curve, HEC-RAS 2D modelling

The 4As partnership: gathering academic evidence about anticipatory action. The project is led by Tufts University in the US, partnering with Makerere University in Uganda, the National University of Lesotho, the University of the Philippines, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, the University of Namibia, and Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique. I will contribute throughout the project by creating a hydrodynamic model to determine vulnerable and risky areas to make anticipatory action in those areas.

Working Project: Community-led EAs on FF events in North-Eastern Bangladesh.

Analysis: A field visit has been conducted to analyze how people act on an Early Warning Message (EWM) about a flash flood-based on Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Key Informant Interview (KII).
