AIMScribe: AI-Powered Clinical Scribing and Prescription Intelligence for Bangladeshi Healthcare

AIMScribe is a healthcare AI research project developed at the Advanced Intelligent Multidisciplinary System (AIMS) Lab under IRIIC, United International University. The project focuses on building an intelligent clinical documentation ecosystem for real-world Bangladeshi healthcare settings by combining doctor–patient speech processing, Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), speaker diarization, clinical NLP, Large Language Models (LLMs), and prescription analysis.

The system is designed to transform doctor–patient consultations into structured clinical information, reduce documentation burden, improve medication safety, and support more efficient clinical workflows. The project also involves the development of a clinically validated Bengali doctor–patient consultation dataset containing consultation audio, transcriptions, speaker information, and prescription-related data.

My Role

As a Research Associate at AIMS Lab, I contribute to the research and development of AIMScribe across both technical and clinical components. My work includes:

• Developing and evaluating ASR and speaker diarization pipelines for Bengali clinical conversations

• Designing annotation and gold-standard protocols for doctor–patient consultation data

• Building and validating a real-world Bengali clinical speech dataset

• Developing clinical NLP and LLM-based systems for transcription, information extraction, and prescription analysis

• Working closely with physicians, intern doctors, biomedical engineers, researchers, hospitals, and clinics

• Investigating real clinical workflows, consultation practices, and documentation challenges

• Supporting data quality control, annotation standards, research protocols, and system validation

• Contributing to the development of clinically deployable AI tools for healthcare documentation and decision support

ESRO-BD : Let's Fight Climate Change

This is a research group under a master's student supervision who resides in Germany and study there. We have conducted our research online. We have researched the reason and effect of climate change in Bangladesh. As a team member, my job is to collect and analyze data.

Virtual Multi-disciplinary Research Lab

Here in this lab, I have attended for 3 months. As an intern, I have studied many research papers and contributed to writing a review paper.

During COVID-19, I started feeling interested in research. Since then, I began to explore where to learn research. I have discovered many wonderful platforms that work for a student who is a research enthusiast. I have learned from them, participated in many events, and also promote research, and helped fresh students on my university campus as a campus ambassador.
