Correct folding of protein is one of the most important biological process.The formation of amyloids from proteins and peptides are responsible for wide number of diseases in humans such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, and Diabetes II etc.Amyloid fibrils have long unbranched shape and enriched beta sheet content. They are cytotoxic in nature, have high surface hydrophobicity and specific tinctorial properties.

My core interest is in finding the therapeutics of Parkinson's disease. I have been doing protein expression and purification and performing various biophysical techniques. I am repurposing the FDA approved drugs on alpha synuclein aggregation and trying to find the therapeutic potential on it.
