Professional Biography: I am Dr. Md Morshedul Islam, currently serving as a full-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics & Information Technology at Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE), Canada. I completed my PhD in Computer Science at the University of Calgary, where my research focused on data privacy and security. Prior to joining CUE, I worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Software Engineering at the University of Calgary, collaborating with industry partners on machine learning solutions.

My research interests include data privacy and security, cryptography, responsible AI, cybersecurity, and large language models. I have authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers in top venues such as IEEE Access, ACM Transactions, ACM CCS, FPS, IFIP SEC, and SECRYPT. I am actively involved in supervising graduate and undergraduate students, managing research grants, and engaging in international research collaborations. I also serve on academic committees, including scholarship selection panels and faculty search committees.
