Professional Biography: I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology at Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE), Alberta, Canada. I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Calgary (UofC), where my research focused on data privacy and security. Prior to my current role, I served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Software Engineering at UofC.
I have authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers published in reputable venues, including MDPI, IEEE Access, ACM CCS, IEEE Big Data, FPS, IFIP SEC, and SECRYPT. I also serve as a Program Committee (PC) member for several international conferences. My research interests span data privacy and security, machine learning, and responsible AI.
I am actively engaged in supervising graduate and undergraduate students, including Mitacs and AITF-funded students, as well as trainees supported by other internal and external research grants. In addition, I lead research projects, secure and manage research funding, and collaborate with international research partners. I also serve on academic committees, including scholarship selection panels and faculty search committees.
