“The future belongs to those who embrace the intelligence of machines to unlock human creativity.”
Hello!
My name is Md. Mahfuz Ahmed. I have completed my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology from Islamic University, Kushtia-7003, Bangladesh. I'm pursuing my M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering at the same university.
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in diagnostic medical imaging is transforming the field by uncovering hidden insights in clinical decision-making, helping connect patients with self-management resources, and extracting meaning from previously unstructured data. AI has demonstrated remarkable accuracy and sensitivity in detecting imaging abnormalities and shows great potential in enhancing tissue-based detection and characterization. It is becoming an invaluable ally for radiologists and pathologists, boosting productivity and accuracy.
As we stand at the forefront of AI-assisted diagnostic imaging, the medical community must prepare for the unknown challenges that come with this technology to ensure its safe and effective incorporation into clinical practice. Evaluating AI's potential risks and capabilities is essential to establishing its role in healthcare, especially in balancing improved detection with the risk of overdiagnosis. These advancements in AI have inspired my deep interest in AI-based machine learning and deep learning techniques to differentiate between normal and abnormal conditions in medical images.
