About Me

Md. Jamil Uddin is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Science, Engineering and Technology at East Delta University, Chattogram. He completed B.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) in 2022, and he completed a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in 2016 and Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in 2014 from  Faujdarhat Cadet College. While completing the B.Sc., Jamil achieved a CGPA of 3.58 and secured the 10th position out of 114 students in the class. 

Jamil's primary research interests include Medical Image Analysis, Computer Vision, Data Mining, Machine Learning, and Neural Networks. He is particularly passionate about leveraging these technologies to solve complex problems and advance knowledge in these fields. For his undergraduate thesis work, he developed Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models for the multiclass classification of chest X-ray images to detect COVID-19. This work, supervised by Prof. Dr. Mir Md. Jahangir Kabir, was recognized and published at the 26th International Conference on Computer and Information Technology(ICCIT). Recently, he has contributed to multiple works that have been accepted for presentation at the 10th International Conference on Information and Communication Technology for Intelligent Systems (ICTIS 2025) and the 26th International Conference on Computer and Information Technology (ICCIT 2025).

Beyond the academic and research pursuits, Jamil has a keen interest in sports, particularly football and cricket, which he enjoys during the leisure time. He also has a background in extracurricular activities, having participated in poetry recitation and debate competitions alongside Inter House Football, Cricket and Basketball competitions during high school. These experiences have greatly contributed to his personal and professional growth.
