1969年起陸續協助明道高中、大明高中兩所學校的美工科、建築製圖科；1988年創辦嶺東科技大學的視覺傳達設計系，並協助創立設計學院。

In 1969, Idea founded the Division of Arts and Crafts, and the Division of Architectural Drafting for both Mingao High School and Daming High School. In 1988, he founded the Department of Visual Communication Design for Ling Tung University, and helped with the foundation of the College of Design.

Idea迄今已規劃設計了50多座國家級公園、觀光景點，並屢獲國際性大獎。其堅持初衷、歸零築夢、藝術創作，希望成為一位獨一無二的純粹藝術家。

Having designed more than 50 national parks and resort attractions, and won many international awards, Idea has always been sticking to his original intention for design and art. In the hope of being a pure fine artist, he has continuously been back to square one and building dreams by devoting himself to art creation.

為了尊重自己的藝術作品，可以有個理想的展覽環境，Idea將位於台中市最繁華區塊（草悟道中心點）的獨立畫室，及饒富禪意的「青園」，設立成為他的私人美術館。

To show respect to his art works with a perfect showroom space, Idea built an art museum of his own, located in the bustling downtown Taichung city (center point of the Calligraphy Greenway). It was once his atelier and beloved Garden of Greenness, filled with the sense of Zen, and now Chu, Lu-ching Museum of Art.

該美術館鬧中取靜，不對外開放，僅僅提供知性好友相聚。在此見識心靈藝術、創新繪畫的獨特作品。

A quiet place in the rustling and bustling downtown area, the museum is not open to the public, but only for gatherings among friends and special guests who are really into the true works of spirits of art and unique painting works.

Idea自許為地球村民雲遊四海，其奉行老莊思想，靜心專注於藝術創作。美術館收藏了朱魯青大師60多年來，許多「春風與寒冬，風雨及陽光」的油畫及雕塑作品。

In pursuit of the philosophy of Laozi and Zhuangzi, Idea regards himself as a global villager who loves to travel around, and concentrates on art creation. The museum has all the works of his oil paintings and sculptures, in a career of more than six decades in the past. Most of them are about spring breeze and cold winter, as well as wind, rain and sunshine, etc.

充滿清浄喜悅的藝術創作，源自對哲學、文化、心靈、美術、藝術史、日常生活等的嚴謹修練，更受到長期靜默禪定的薰陶。Idea的作品經常以色彩、線條虛實交錯構成的心靈景觀，呈現有意識與無意識的色塊或線條空間，自然而然地表現出心底深處的活動。

Idea’s art creation, full of pureness and joyfulness, comes from the strict study and practice of philosophy, culture, spirit, fine arts, art history, daily affairs, and most of all, the enduring positive influence of Zen.

Using the Landscape of the Mind very often, which is composed of the intertwining of virtual and real colors and lines, his works present color blocks or space of lines with or without awareness, and naturally reveal the activities from the deep bottom of the mind.

見畫指心、隨色換情，不需任何語言、文字的解讀。

The heart is touched as the eyes are looking at paintings; the mood is changed as different colors are on canvas. Any interpretation of words is redundant.

任由欣賞者自由發揮想像力與自己的內心對應。

Imagination is driven by the heart; the heart is responding to the imagination. Inner responses deeply from our hearts are all driven by the freedom of our imagination.

欣賞朱魯青的藝術創作，不需太傷腦筋去找出理論或尋求理解，雖然藝術作品飽藏其個人故事的經驗、經歷及經常；但是鼓勵大家以各種角度互動欣賞，重要的是內心充滿歡喜及直覺對應的意義。

To understand Idea’s works, one needs no reason or theory, but the heart only. Though artists’ personal stories, individual experiences, and their daily routines are always included in their art works, it’s every perspective of every viewer that gives meaning to every art work instead of the artists themselves. Above all, viewers should follow their intuition and be filled with great joy and happiness.

Idea從小就喜歡塗塗畫畫、雕雕塑塑，因為開心歡喜也就無師自通。

Since his childhood, Idea has been in love with drawing and sculpting, which has been making him so happy that he has finally become a self-taught master artist.

Master Chu, Lu-ching thinks everyone is a born painter. He encourages everyone to become an artist and live a perfect happy life.

註：「朱魯青私人美術館」是輕鬆愉快、放下放空、心靈舒果的藝術饗宴空間，唯將「煩惱、憂慮、怨恨、悲傷、猜忌、疑惑、麈囂」去除後，始能得門而入。

Remarks: Chu, Lu-ching Museum of Art is somewhere for people to relax, to let go and be empty in mind, and to enjoy nothing but the art works. Before one can enter it, however, he needs to get rid of trouble, worry, resentment, sorrow, suspicion, doubt, noisiness, etc.

Editor’s Postscript

Idea近年除繼續進行手邊原有工作外，鮮少再接新案。目前潛心創作，年過七旬的他，回歸做一個純粹藝術家；並且繼續當他的快樂扶輪人，早就把扶輪當成終身志業的他，心裡還在構思許多扶輪想法，透過扶輪讓社會更友愛、讓世界更美好！

In recent years, Idea hardly accepts new projects and only continues on in-process ones. Now in his early 70s, he still devotes himself to his art creation in pursuit of being a pure fine artist. Meanwhile, he is also committed to the service of Rotary Club in pursuit of being a happy rotarian as well. In his mind, serving the community as a rotarian is a vocation of his lifelong choice. Idea has a lot of ideas about what a good rotarian can do to make the society a friendlier place and the earth a better world to live.

Idea熱情率真、充滿活力，至今仍保有一顆難得的赤子心。總說扶輪人不推辭，只要社友需要他都盡力相助，更不吝於共享他的資源，只要是符合扶輪精神、對社會國家有益、對世界環境友善的事情，他都會義不容辭、積極響應、參與貢獻，可謂「老驥伏櫪；志在千里」，是一位非常值得扶輪後輩尊敬與學習的扶輪前輩。

Enthusiastic and energetic, Idea still has an innocent heart like a child. “A rotarian never says NO,” often says Idea. As long as other rotarians are in need of his help, he does his best with all the resources he can reach out to. As long as it’s true to the Rotary Club, beneficial to the society and country, and environment-friendly to the earth, he will go for it without hesitation.

Here goes an old saying,”The old horse in the stable still aspires to gallop a thousand miles.” A man of action, still having ambitions unfulfilled, Idea is not only a creative artist, but also a respectable rotarian whom we can humbly learn and profoundly benefit from.
