Ph.D. Student, CSE, UConn
I am a 4th year Ph.D. student in computer science at the University of Connecticut. My research areas are human-computer interaction, affective computing, and Trustworthy AI. My research goal is to design interactive systems able to help users calibrate trust and generate appropriate emotional experience in the context of safety-critical autonomous systems (UAV, UGV, Robots) use via communicating cognitive and affective messages. I work with Prof. Mohammad Maifi Hasan Khan and Prof. Ross Buck.
I completed my B.Sc. from the Department of Computer Science at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). After graduating from college, I worked as a junior software engineer in the SQA team at Therap Services LLC, where I gained experience in automated and manual testing. I automated a part of the Therap web application using Selenium and Watir web driver for testing.
I was involved in various voluntary and leadership activities during college. I served as President of the Satyen Bose Science Club, BUET. I also volunteered for Badhan, a voluntary blood donors' organization, by responding to blood requisitions and managing volunteer blood donors.
I love to read books, code, teach, and travel.
