About hoard:

Charlie likes reading so, like many book lovers, they hoard bookmarks of all kind, so many that in the end they have many more bookmarks than books to read. Of course, they always forgets to take a bookmark while reading and uses something else. Instead, Charlie then have their favorite books with lots of bookmarks inside, because they doesn't mark where thay're reading, but rather parts of the book they likes.

About room: 

Do you know the Bucket house from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Well, it's just as crooked and almost as dark, with a crooked bed, a patchwork rug, a crooked nightstand to sit on and read, shelves full of books that look like they're about to fall over, a corkboard on the wall with their favourite bookmarks hanging on it, bookmarks sticking out from every corner and several boxes full of them. Chaotic and a bit of a rabbit hole, but very cosy.

About Charlie: 

Calm, book lover, responsible... He didn't start collecting bookmarks on purpose, it just happened and before he knew it he was obsessed with them and had tons of them. 

He likes to sit in comfortable places to read, but he always leaves the marker in a safe place so that it doesn't get damaged and he forgets to take it, so he marks with a tree leaf, a little piece of paper... Never folding the page, that's cruelty.
