Q1: Can you specify few standard undergraduate text books?

Ans: Few Important text books for undergraduate students.

It is always better to read at least one book from cover to cover on every subject (solve all exercise problems). We are listing few books on each subject, but you can choose one book on each subject which suits you. Also note that it is difficult list all books.

Real analysis

  1. A basic course in analysis by Ajit Kumar and S. Kumaresan.

  2. Introduction to real analysis by Robert G Bartle and Donald R. Sherbert

  3. A first course in Real analysis by Berberian S.K

Linear Algebra:

Q2: How to prepare for competitive exam like JAM, NBHM, M.Sc entrance exams etc?

Ans: As informed earlier, we are here not to prepare you for competitive examinations. Following points may be useful to you.

  1. Take one standard text book for each subject Real analysis, Algebra and linear algebra. Try to solve all exercise problems. Do not hurry in solving the problems, do not look for solutions, try on your own and create problems.

  2. Watch the videos of Prof S. Kumaresan whenever time permits.
