What does endemic, pandemic and epidemic mean?The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has been spreading drastically from one country to another since December 2019. It has become one of the most rapidly spreading viruses in the world. The most uttered words nowadays are ‘endemic’, ‘pandemic’ and ‘epidemic’. All three terms are epidemiological terms that are commonly used in the study of disease on human beings.

Is the ‘coronavirus bomb’ blasting in Bangladesh? The coronavirus infected person is increasing alarmingly in Bangladesh as the time goes up. Along with the infected patient, the death rate is also increasing in the same manner. The total number of infected cases in Bangladesh is 87520 and the total number of death is 1171 as of 14th June 2020. Now the question is ‘why the rate of infection is increasing’? Yes, there is a reason behind this increment and the reason is an asymptomatic transmission of coronavirus. The word asymptomatic is a scientific terminology where ‘A’ means ‘not’ or ‘without’ and ‘symptomatic’ means ‘symptoms of the disease’ that is the disease that has no visible symptoms is called asymptomatic. Asymptomatic transmission is when a person who has no symptoms of Covid-19 such as fever, body ache, cough etc and transmits the novel coronavirus to another person.

Moringa: The Miracle tree Moringa is a tropical and subtropical plant mostly found in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. It is a fast growing and drought resistance plant. The most common species of moringa is Moringa oleifera. It is also known as drumstick tree, horseradish tree and benzolive tree. The moringa tree is found almost all the rural areas in Bangladesh. According to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), investing in pedestrians and cyclists - who often make up the majority of citizens in a city - can save lives, help protect the environment and support poverty reduction. Bicycle is an affordable, reliable and sustainable means of transportation, it fosters environmental stewardship and good health, providing a cost-effective form of transport while reducing the risk of heart disease, stroke, certain cancers, diabetes, and even death, according to the World Health Organization. Safe infrastructure for walking and cycling is also a pathway for achieving greater health equity. Cycling is a means for increasing physical activity and becoming physically is the prerequisite for good health.
