Sr. Scientist at Ethos Biosciences
Starting out as a young boy hobbing to become a research scientist back home in Bangladesh, I have developed to be a future researcher, who can not only teach but also use technical knowledge of Engineering to manipulate it to invent something new. My initial attraction to being a researcher was catalyzed by an undergraduate degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET). Soon after completing my Bachelor of Science in Engineering, I joined an engineering firm named Powerbreeze Engineering Ltd. But, I found it was very tough to reach my goal as the company lacks the proper choice of my destiny. Then I joined Uttara University as a Lecturer. Later, I joined Florida Atlantic University for my PhD research. Ultimately, my desire to connect engineering research by improving knowledge, hard work, dedication, and perception has given me the reason to choose Bio Engineering for my graduate research.
My areas of interest are:
Point of care disease detection
Biosensors for rapid detection
Microfluidic device and MEMS fabrication
Immunoassay development
FAU researchers test wastewater on campus to find COVID-19 cases
As a part of the investigating team at FAU, we are tracking COVID-19 on campus by testing wastewater for signs of the virus. Recently, our work has been reported in another TV channel. Full Report Link
The secret to COVID′s spread might be buried in wastewater
Researchers at Florida Atlantic University have a different, somewhat disgusting way to test for the coronavirus on campus and possibly predict where it will spread.
