Starting as a young boy in Bangladesh with aspirations of becoming a research scientist, I have developed into a seasoned researcher with a passion for innovation and teaching. My journey began with a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET). After an early career at Powerbreeze Engineering Ltd., I transitioned to academia as a Lecturer at Uttara University, before pursuing a PhD at Florida Atlantic University.
Specializing in Bioengineering, I have since held key roles in the biotech industry, including positions as a Senior Scientist at Ethos Biosciences and a Scientist (R&D) at In Vitro Diagnostic Solutions. Currently, I am a Senior Development Scientist at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, where I contribute to the assay development R&D team. My work spans product development, reagent optimization, and process scale-up, consistently adhering to FDA/ISO standards.
With a strong commitment to innovation and leadership, I have mentored junior scientists, collaborated with international teams, and played a pivotal role in advancing diagnostic technologies. My career is driven by a dedication to pushing the boundaries of engineering and bioengineering.
My areas of interest are:
Point of care disease detection
Biosensors for rapid detection
Microfluidic device and MEMS fabrication
Immunoassay development
FAU researchers test wastewater on campus to find COVID-19 cases
As a part of the investigating team at FAU, we are tracking COVID-19 on campus by testing wastewater for signs of the virus. Recently, our work has been reported in another TV channel. Full Report Link
The secret to COVID′s spread might be buried in wastewater
Researchers at Florida Atlantic University have a different, somewhat disgusting way to test for the coronavirus on campus and possibly predict where it will spread.
