I am Md Abir Hossain, a Ph.D. student at the University of Texas at El Paso. I am a Doctoral Research Assistant at Materials at Extreme Research Group (MERG). I started my PhD at the UTEP in Fall 2018. My current reserach is directed towards the uncertainty quantification of the engineering alloys subjected to elevated stress and temperature. Besides, I have gained hand-on experience conducting the Accelerated Creep Test (ACT) that can replaces long-term Conventional Creep Test (CCT). Prior to joining at Team MERG, I completed my bachelor from the department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NAME) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). I worked as a lecturer for one year in the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) after completing the B.Sc. degree.
