Md. Monirul Islam has been recognized as one of the Top 2% Scientists by Elsevier and Stanford University in 2025. Currently, he is a PhD student in the Department of Information and Communications Engineering at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), South Korea, since the September 2024 intake. Mr. Islam completed his M.Sc. in Engineering in CSE in 2021 from Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET), Gazipur, Bangladesh, and his B.Sc. in Engineering in CSE in 2015 from Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST), Bangladesh. 

Before his PhD, Mr. Islam held faculty positions at several private universities in Bangladesh, serving as Assistant Professor, Senior Lecturer, and Lecturer, and also worked as Research Coordinator, Director of the ICT Cell, and Head of the Rising Research Lab. 

Mr. Islam has published over 30 research articles in renowned SCIE and Scopus-indexed journals and conferences. His significant research contributions earned him Academic Research Awards at his workplace in 2022 and 2023.

His research interests include AI/ML, Medical Imaging, Object detection/ Anomaly detection, IoT, 5G/B5G/6G networks.
