Welcome to my profile!

I am Md. Monirul Islam, currently I am a PhD candidate in Information and Communications Engineering at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, South Korea.  I obtained my M.Sc. degree and B.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET), and Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST), Bangladesh.

Before joining the Ph.D. program, my last position was as an Assistant Professor in the Daffodil International University and I also served in several academic and research positions such as Research Coordinator, Director of the ICT Cell, and Head of the Rising Research Lab. I published several articles in SCIE and Scopus-indexed journals and conferences. I received Academic Research Awards in 2022 and 2023 from Uttara University and Daffodil International University, and my name is listed in the Top 2% Scientists of 2025 single year by Elsevier and Stanford University. 

My research interests include AI-enabled Internet of Things (AIoT), 5G/6G mobile communication networks, performance evaluation and optimization of IMT-2030 KPIs, medical imaging, and cybersecurity.
