AI SEO Growth & Performance Optimization for E-commerce Website

The Challenge

The main challenge was to boost organic clicks and impressions within a super competitive e-commerce market in Dubai. Over the previous 3 months, we had decent numbers to show for - 1.53m impressions and 7,950 clicks, but our click-through rate (CTR) was stuck in neutral at a paltry 0.5% and our average Google position of 16.6 needed a serious overhaul. This niche site had to fight it out for both the big-ticket transactional keywords and all those pesky branded searches - we weren't just talking standard SEO here. Our goal was to get those clicks and impressions trending upwards again, while keeping a lid on CTR and our search position.

Our Solution

We ran a deep dive SEO audit to see where things were going wrong - from technical to on-page and off-page gaps - and we found some serious issues. First things first, we optimized the site to get its speed up to snuff, and made sure it was user-friendly on mobile devices - we didn't want to scare off potential customers. And on top of that, we added some schema markup to get Google to start taking notice. Next up, we went back to the drawing board and re-jigged our product and category pages to make sure they were chock full of high-intent keywords. We also gave our internal linking a good going over - making sure users could find what they were looking for - and set up some fancy tracking to see how people were behaving on site. And because content is king, we went to work on some serious authority content around those all-important branded and transactional keywords to get our topical relevance back on track. Meanwhile, we set about building some top-notch backlinks from suppliers, blogs and partner platforms.

About the Project

We even went back to the Google Search Console data to see where we'd lost our way, and re-jigged some of our content to get those impressions and clicks back on track. Finally, we set up a regular reporting system to compare where we were at now against where we'd been three months ago - it was time to see if all this hard work was really paying off.
