Currently we do not have funding for mini-grant 😔.Â
Thanks to funding from the COMMIT Network's NSF Project, you may apply for mini-grant funding of up to $500 for activities that support peer collaboration around the use of inquiry in post-secondary mathematics classrooms. For example, you could:
Visit (virtually or in person) a peer's classrooms and meet to discuss these visits.
Collaborate with a peer at another institution to develop inquiry-focused activities for classroom use and share these activities with our community.
Organize a professional learning community.Â
Write a blog post about your experiences related to inquiry in mathematics classrooms.
Form a reading group.
Organize a workshop for your department focused on teaching with inquiry. (We're particularly interested in workshops taking place in departments where the use of inquiry is not common practice.) Â
Plan a themed lunch meeting or tea for MD-DC-VA COMMIT members.
Be creative! Contact any member of the leadership team to discuss your ideas.
More information about proposal and applicant requirements can be found in the COMMIT mini-grant call for proposals. Â
