About me:
Born and raised in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
In December 2011 I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout through the Boy Scouts of America organization.
I also have a deep love of the ocean, sailing/boating, beach, astronomy, physics, history, and the environment!
I completed my year of Student Teaching at CKHS in teaching 10th Grade World History.
I was then hired and worked at CKHS teaching American Government, World Geography, World History, Psychology, and Sociology Classes.
Attended High School at Chamblee Charter High School.
I graduated with a BA in History and a Minor in Political Science from Georgia State University in 2016.
I graduated with my Master's (MAT) degree from GSU in 2018.
I grew up in a family that has been heavily involved in history through military service, career paths, and in other ways. This was definitely a factor in me becoming interested in history!
My family has been involved with Archaeologists and Anthropologists from Troy State, Auburn University, and the State of Alabama in the excavation and preservation of American Indian sites and locations.
I grew up spending weeks during the summers helping them excavate sites on the family farm. I also have four cousins that are or have been teachers (three of which taught or teach social studies while one taught science).
