MCSC President: David Reyes

I am the president of the Miners Cyber Security Club at UTEP. Currently I am a PhD Candidate where I am a SFS Scholar. Prior to my PhD studies I received my Master's in Software Engineering with a concentration in Secure Cyber Systems. Throught my time at UTEP, I have worked as a Cyber Securyt intern for MIT Lincoln Labs, Sandia National Labs, Raython CodeX , and as a software engineering intern for Lockheed Martin. Outside of my reseach work, I like for focuses on reverse engineering, vulnerability research, and software development. I enjoy participating in Capture the Flag (CTF) competitons to keep my skills up to date.

I am the founder and president of the Women in Cybersecurity Student Chapter at UTEP. I am currently working on my Master's in Software Engineering with a concentration in Secure Cyber Systems. As an undergrad, I was an S-STEM Scholar and am presently an SFS Scholar. I have worked as an intern for C5ISR since May 2020, developing multiple custom frameworks. My current research focuses on reverse engineering. I enjoy providing workshops and cybersecurity awareness outreach.
