Muldisciplinary Collaborative Research and Academic Network (MCRAN) is a research group formed by a group of Bangladeshi university students from different majors under the supervision of Rafe Md. Abu Zayed (graduated in Mechanical Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology). The primary motive of this research group is to collaborate the knowledge of different technical disciplines of science and build an active research network, that will play a positive role in the development of society and human civilization.
Currently, the group is divided into four subgroups:
Mechanical Engineering and Optimization subgroup
Material Science & Chemical Engineering subgroup
Life science & Medical science subgroup
Electrical & Electronics Engineering subgroup
At present, nine undergraduate research trainees are working in the stated subgroup. But their work is not limited within the specified subgroup, rather they collaborate with each other according to the requirements. With this collaboration, the members have attended several seminars, poster presentations, conferences, competitions, etc. The members also share their ideas and suggestions regarding any academic needs of a group member.
Besides the academic activities, the group members also collaborate in non-academic creative activities like writing, photography, painting, organizing local programs, etc. By collaborating in both academic and non-academic activities, MCRAN is becoming a strong platform for developing the individual skills of the group members.
