Lumina Remote (bundle ID: com.remote.lumina) is an independent mobile application developed and maintained by an individual developer. We are not affiliated with any TV manufacturer, advertising network, or data broker.
For any privacy-related inquiries, please contact us at: trungtoan136@gmail.com
We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide and improve the App. The table below summarizes what is collected:
Data Type
What It Includes
Purpose
Crash Logs
Stack traces, error messages, device model, OS version, app version at time of crash
Diagnose and fix app crashes
Usage Analytics
Aggregated feature usage events (e.g., "remote opened"), session counts, screen views
Understand how the App is used; improve features
Device / Network Info
Local IP address, TV brand and model name discovered on your network (stored locally on device only)
Enable TV discovery and control over Wi-Fi
App Configuration
Remote configuration parameters fetched from Firebase Remote Config (no personal data)
Enable feature flags and remote updates without an App Store release
Purchase Receipts
Transaction validation tokens provided by Apple/Google (we do not see payment details)
Verify in-app purchases and unlock premium features
All analytics and crash data are pseudonymous. We do not link this data to your name, email address, or any other identifier that could directly identify you as a person.
We explicitly do not collect the following:
Advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID, or any ad tracking ID)
Personal identifying information (name, email address, phone number, date of birth)
Precise or coarse location data — the App uses your Wi-Fi network to discover TVs but does not request, read, or transmit your GPS location
Contacts, photos, camera, or microphone data
Browsing history or activity on other apps or websites
Financial information (payment card numbers, bank details)
Biometric data
TV viewing history or content you watch
Remote commands you send to your TV
The App does not use or request access to advertising tracking frameworks. On iOS, the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission prompt will not be shown because we do not engage in cross-app tracking.
The information we collect is used exclusively for the following purposes:
Crash diagnostics: To identify, reproduce, and fix bugs and crashes to improve App stability.
Product improvement: To understand which features are used most and prioritize future development.
Remote configuration: To adjust App behavior (e.g., enable or disable features) without requiring an App Store update.
Purchase verification: To confirm valid in-app purchases and grant access to Premium Features.
We do not use collected data for targeted advertising, user profiling, or any purpose beyond those listed above.
Lumina Remote uses the following third-party services provided by Google LLC. Each service processes data as described below:
Firebase Analytics collects aggregated, pseudonymous usage data such as screen views, feature events, and session information. It does not collect advertising identifiers or personal identification data when configured as we have it. Data is transmitted to Google servers and retained per Google's standard retention policies.
Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Firebase Crashlytics automatically collects crash reports when the App encounters an error. Reports include technical diagnostic data (stack traces, device model, OS version) but do not include personal information or the content of your TV sessions. Crashlytics assigns a random installation UUID that cannot be linked back to you.
Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Firebase Remote Config fetches configuration parameters from Google's servers to control App features. No personal data is included in these requests beyond standard HTTP metadata (IP address, device type, app version). IP addresses are not stored by us.
Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
All Firebase services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum. We have configured these services to minimize data collection and have not enabled any advertising or audience-building features within Firebase.
We do not share your data with any other third parties. We do not sell, rent, trade, or transfer any information to outside parties for commercial purposes.
Lumina Remote requires access to your local Wi-Fi network to discover and communicate with Smart TVs. This is the core functionality of the App. Specifically:
The App scans your local network using mDNS and SSDP protocols to detect compatible TV devices.
TV device names, IP addresses, and model information discovered during scanning are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to our servers.
All communication between the App and your TV happens directly on your local network. No TV commands pass through our servers.
The App does not access the internet on behalf of your TV control sessions.
Your local network access is used solely to provide the TV remote control functionality and for no other purpose.
We retain data as follows:
Crash logs: Retained in Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
Analytics data: Aggregated analytics are retained for up to 14 months in Firebase Analytics per Google's default retention settings.
Local device data: TV device information stored on your device persists until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
Remote Config cache: Configuration parameters are cached locally for a short period and refreshed periodically; no personal data is cached.
You can delete all locally stored App data at any time by clearing the App's storage in your device settings or by uninstalling the App.
Lumina Remote is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App is intended for general audiences aged 13 and older.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at trungtoan136@gmail.com. We will take steps to delete such information promptly.
In jurisdictions where the applicable age of digital consent is higher (e.g., 16 in certain EU member states), we comply with those requirements. The App does not engage in any profiling of minors.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your data:
Right to Access: You may request information about what data we hold about you (if any).
Right to Deletion: You may request deletion of any personal data associated with you. You can also delete all local App data by uninstalling the App.
Right to Opt Out of Analytics: You can disable Firebase Analytics data collection by adjusting your device's privacy settings. On iOS, you can limit Ad Tracking; on Android, you can opt out of personalization in Google Settings.
Right to Data Portability: Where applicable, you may request a copy of data we hold about you in a portable format.
Right to Object: You may object to processing of your data where we rely on legitimate interests.
For GDPR (EU/EEA) users: Our legal basis for processing pseudonymous crash and analytics data is our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the App (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Since we do not process personal data in any other meaningful way, most GDPR rights apply in a limited scope. You may contact us to exercise any of the above rights.
For California (CCPA) users: We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to know, delete, and opt out under the CCPA — contact us to exercise these rights.
To exercise any of your rights, contact us at: trungtoan136@gmail.com
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:
Use of secure HTTPS connections for all data transmitted to Firebase services.
Relying on Google's enterprise-grade infrastructure for data storage and processing.
Not storing any personal data on our own servers.
Limiting data collection to what is strictly necessary.
No method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and may notify you through an App update or in-app notice.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
The most current version of this Privacy Policy will always be accessible from within the App and on our App Store listing.
