What is the Ministerial Credentialing Program?

The Ministerial Credentialing Program (MCP) is designed to educate students in an on-line platform where students can work at their own pace. These courses are for you if you are desiring Christian Education Units, want to know more about ministry, are desiring of obtaining a Local Minister's License, a Minister's License, or Ordination through the South Carolina Conference of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Application Process

To be licensed in any capacity by the SCIPHC, individuals must complete the above course work and complete this application for each ministerial credential desired. This document MUST be printed, completed, and sent to:

Application for SCIPHC Credential

A BACKGROUND CHECK IS ONLY REQUIRED AT WHATEVER LICENSE YOU BEGIN WITH IF NO MORE THAN 5 YEARS HAVE LAPSED. IF MORE TIME THAN THIS HAS LAPSED, YOU WILL NEED TO DO A UPDATED BACKGROUND CHECK!

Individuals who complete the required course work will receive eligibility to interview for credentials following completion of courses. Please note, we cannot start the process of licensure interviews until ALL forms are submitted via US mail.

The following is a breakdown of the costs associated with the MCP:

Non-Refundable Application/Background Check Fee: $100.00 (After completion of courses if entry level license is desired. This is a one time fee to cover the cost of background check).
$50/course (5-6 courses per semester).
Cost of the books (You purchase from your preferred vendor or download them to your tablet/kindle).
Annual Registration Fee of $50 prior to beginning classes (Required for ALL students).

While course work is completed at your own pace, students must complete each semester within the time alotted. The Spring Cohort runs from January-June of each year, and the Fall Cohort runs from July-December of each year. Enrolling in the MCP will require a commitment from each individual to devote the necessary time to study and submit assignments as outlined in each module. I Need to Enroll in MCP to Take Classes Needed for Credentialing: What Do I Do?

To apply for acceptance into the MCP to take classes, click on THIS LINK. Once completed and submitted along with your registration fee annually of $50 (must be received for every Academic year beginning in August), you will receive an email to click on and that will take you to CANVAS to begin classes.
